1. Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Course

Androcom researched and wrote the production script for a CD-ROM training package designed to assist adults in obtaining college credits for learning arising out of job and other experiences. The program's innovative design incorporates lessons, first-person observations by students and professionals who have used PLA, and a suite of Report Templates that enable users to compose PLA reports with the help of just-in-time tutorials.

2. Bringing The Internet To The Classroom

In partnership with Microsoft Corporation, SchoolNet, and Filament Communications, Androcom developed a Web and CD-ROM-based tool for teachers and education administrators that will demonstrate how the Internet can enrich classroom teaching, and provide tools for the planning and implementation of Internet access.

3. Design Change Approvals for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

Androcom developed the production script for a multimedia program that will replace a 2-day classroom course used by Transport Canada to introduce Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to the Design Change Approvals process.

4. A Roadmap To ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode)

Androcom developed the interactive design and wrote the production script for a training program introducing ATM technology to mounted on a high bandwidth network linking high-technology companies in Canada's capital region. Comprised of 12 instructional modules, the program incorporates the latest Web technologies including VRML graphics and real-time video and audio. The program is a joint undertaking of the Ottawa-Carleton Research Institute, Algonquin College, and the Communications Research Centre.

5. Desertification, CIDA

Androcom developed the script for a kiosk-based multimedia program commissioned by the Canadian International Development Agency to explain desertification causes and preventative measures.

6. How To Write Briefing Notes

Androcom provided research and scriptwriting for a multimedia program designed to train Transport Canada officials in the correct procedures for preparing Ministerial briefing notes.

7. Middle Manager Orientation Program, Public Works and Government Services Canada

PWGSC was among the first Canadian government departments to use interactive business television (BTV) as a means of delivering its Middle Manager Orientation Program. Androcom has been hired repeatedly by the department to prepare scripts for use by the Deputy Minister and other senior departmental officials during their portions of BTV telecasts. In addition, Androcom has been commissioned to prepare detailed post-mortem reports on the methodologies employed, the success of the program, and lessons learned.

8. Results-Based Management, Canadian International Development Agency

On behalf of the Canadian International Development Agency, Androcom developed the production script for CD-ROM- and Web-based versions of a course designed to introduce CIDA employees and partners to the principles of Results-Based Management.

9. The Case for Multimedia Speaker Support Materials, Newbridge Networks Corporation

Androcom developed the Master Lesson Plan for a one-day seminar introducing classroom trainers to the features and advantages of multimedia speaker support programs. Androcom also wrote the production script for the multimedia speaker support program that is used throughout the seminar.

10. The TimeStep Advantage, TimeStep Corporation

Androcom wrote the production script for a CD-ROM designed to explain the advantages of "secure virtual private networks" - a technology pioneered by TimeStep to enable corporations to make secure use of the Internet for data transfer.

11. LIAM Technology Profile, DND & Computing Devices Canada

LIAM - an acronym standing for Lock-on, Image-based, Aiming Module - uses interactive multimedia to introduce a breakthrough technology designed to improve battlefield marksmanship. Used both for stand-alone kiosk and speaker-support applications, the diskette-based LIAM program has earned several awards for its rich visual environment and dynamic presentation approach.

12. Bank of Montreal Institute For Learning, Bank of Montreal

In support of a Pacific Rim tour by Bank of Montreal's President, Androcom developed the script for an interactive program introducing the Bank's Institute for Learning, the centre-piece in a multi-faceted approach to employee learning. The program featured high-end computer graphics, full-screen, full-motion video and selection for five languages.

13. National Master Specification, PWGSC
